World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) Essay Competition for Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) students.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) occurs when bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites change over time and no longer respond to medicines. World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) is a global campaign that is celebrated annually to improve awareness and understanding of AMR and encourage best practices among the public, and policymakers, who all play a critical role in reducing the further emergence and spread of AMR.
The Antimicrobial Resistance Centre (AMR Centre) of the Global Institute of Public Health (GIPH) is conducting an essay competition for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). Registration will be open from 5th to 9th November 2023. Competition details will be communicated to those who register through a dedicated WhatsApp group. The first prize will be Rs 10,000, second prize Rs. 5000 and third prize Rs 3,000.
