Educational and professional background
Dr. Mithun T. K. is a GIPH MPH alumnus and the Founder and CEO of Project One Health, a global initiative working at the intersection of human, animal and environmental health. He has returned to GIPH to pursue his PhD and deepen his contribution to One Health.
Why I chose GIPH and my programme
My vision for Project One Health first took root at GIPH. The academic environment, opportunities for collaboration and continued mentorship gave me the confidence to develop innovative ideas. The strong bond I formed with the institution and the growth I experienced there also led me to choose GIPH again for my doctoral studies.
My experience at GIPH
I owe much of my journey to the faculty at GIPH. Their guidance, encouragement and mentorship shaped my public health foundation and strengthened my passion for One Health.
The faculty went beyond conventional teaching by offering personalised support, opening opportunities for collaboration and encouraging new ideas. The progress of Project One Health through research, outreach and leadership reflects the training and values I received at GIPH. With continued mentorship during my PhD, I hope to contribute more deeply to One Health and carry forward the standard of excellence I experienced as an MPH student.
