Educational and professional background
Dr. Arun Rajan is from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He is an Ayurvedic physician and completed his Master of Public Health at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum.
He currently works as a Research Associate at SCTIMST in Health Technology Assessment (HTA), contributing to the Costing of Health Services in India project. His work includes healthcare costing, hospital data collection, resource utilisation and public health research.
His professional interests include health economics, health technology assessment, healthcare insurance, hospital management and health systems research. He hopes to continue developing his expertise and contribute to evidence-based healthcare decision-making.
Why I chose GIPH for my internship
I undertook the internship under G. K. Mini Ma'am to gain practical experience in research and deepen my understanding of how academic research is conducted.
