Rooting for Resilience: Health, Climate Change & Antimicrobial Resistance

Centre for Climate and Environmental Health (CCEH) at Global Institute of Public Health (GIPH) hosted a one-day co-learning conclave titled "Rooting for Resilience: Exploring The Intersection of Health, Climate Change & Antimicrobial Resistance." The event featured three insightful sessions led by Dr. Chitra Grace. A, Dr. Shaheer Aboobacker, and Shri. Sanju Soman. It took place on Friday, 7 March 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, at Ananthapuri Hospitals, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, bringing together passionate youth, experts, and changemakers to address pressing global health challenges.

Centre for Climate and Environmental Health (CCEH) at GIPH along with Health Systems Research Initiative (HSRII), DHS (Government of Kerala) and UNICEF arranged an Youth Engagement Workshop on Health effects of Air pollution on 30 July 2024 . The workshop was led by Dr. Chitra Grace. A (Professor & Head -CCEH @ GIPH) along with Dr. Pradeep Kumar (Director, HSRII), Shri Arun. B. Nair (HSRII) and Dr. S. Manu (State Nodal Officer, GoK).

Workshop on Emergency Medicine & Accidental Care

One day workshop was conducted for Medical and Paramedical students of Kerala University of Health Sciences at Global Institute of Public Health. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M K C Nair inaugurating the Workshop on Emergency and Accidental Care at Global Institute of Public Health, Thiruvananthapuram. Dr. Shiju Stanly and Emergency and Critical Care team under him conducted various sessions and hands on training to students. A total of 127 delegates participated.
