Women's Day Special Programme
The GIPH Centre for Gender Studies and the Public Health Scholars Forum, supported by the Students’ Union 2025–2026, organised an International Women’s Day programme themed “Empower. Inspire. Elevate.” on 6 March 2026, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Auditorium, Ananthapuri Hospitals and Research Institute, Chackai, Thiruvananthapuram. Dr. Amala Anie John, Assistant Professor at GIPH, delivered the welcome address. Journalist Sreeja Shyam of Mathrubhumi Channel inaugurated the programme, and Hemalatha C. K., District Mission Coordinator, Vijnanakeralam, Malappuram, delivered the keynote address. The second session featured Echmukutty’s “Penninte Thalakkettu,” introduced by Dr. Gowri Manoj. Dr. Jeeva P. P. and Dr. Kamali S. delivered the votes of thanks for the respective sessions.
