My internship experience at GIPH
My time at GIPH was less about completing tasks and more about unlearning certainties. The idea that public health could be reduced to protocols and numbers gave way to a fuller sense of it as a human endeavour, shaped by contradiction and care. Each day reminded me that data divorced from context says little about the lives it claims to represent, and that real understanding demands patience more than answers.
Working alongside mentors such as Mr. Jinbert Lordson A., whose quiet attentiveness shaped his approach to problems, taught me to listen before solving and to see public health as an ongoing dialogue with people rather than something imposed on them. If I take one thing from this internship, it is the recognition that uncertainty is not a failure of knowledge but its honest starting point—and that sitting with it, rather than rushing past it, is where meaningful work begins.
